Esther M. Lederberg
Jewish Army: Warsaw, 1794

The Popular anti-Semitic stereotype of Jews: a parasitic monster, never participates in patriotic feelings such as being part of a nation, such as Poland. After all, Jews were welcomed. Recall the pogrom of July 4, 1946 in Kielce? It took the historian Jan Gross (Princeton University) to provide incontrovertible proof that Poles, not NAZIs, were responsible for this pogrom, see the book "Neighbors".
